A sabbatical doesn’t have to be well-earned reward after years of dedication. You can choose to take a sabbatical everyday — a break from the monotony and the chaos.”

Soulful.

Soul(noun): the spiritual principle embodied in human being; the moral and emotional nature of human beings; an active or essential part

Our souls are the deepest parts of us that hide behind the masks we share with others. Sometimes, our souls are so hidden that we think the masks are who we are. The soul is where we find our authentic selves and our innate gifts. It is our soul that grounds us when we feel lost in the world or in the tasks that aid our survival. Can you hear your soul? What is it saying?

Sabbatical.

Sabbatical(noun): a break or change from a normal routine.

A sabbatical is often seen as something earned. But why do we have to earn rest? Are we not worthy of the time to reflect on who we are, what we are doing, and why? Do we not deserve to reground ourselves in the purpose behind our dedication to the work? A sabbatical doesn’t have to be a well-earned reward after years of dedication. You can choose to take a sabbatical every day— a break from the monotony and the chaos.

Grounding is found in self-connectedness. I believe connectedness to one’s deeper self, their soul, is one of the keys to remaining grounded throughout the ebbs and flows of life.
